Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas - Week Nine

Welcome back to the 9th Funkie Junkie Christmas Tag. I adored making this one. Now that I have discovered Faded Jeans DI, I was well and truly in my comfort zone!

I didn't have the Brushed Pewter DS but....I found that I did have Faded Jeans DS!!! I have no idea when I bought that!  I swiped some Faded Jeans DS on the craft mat and had a think of how to replicate the silver...I grabbed a silver glimmer spray and sprayed the Faded Jeans DS with that. I swirled the tag through the sparkly inky puddle and dried it, dabbing a few more times to add texture. I dabbed a bit of Frayed Burlap DI around the edge of the tag.

I didn't have a snowflake diecut so I decided to stamp some snowflakes - The main things that inspired me about this tag were the silver heart and the roses, but I really felt the colour scheme needed some snow!

I embossed the snowflakes with silver embossing powder and then stamped some music in Potting Soil Archival ink in the corners of the tag.

I decided to use plastic roses for the tag rather than make them from die cuts. I had a gorgeous rose embellishment that I wanted to use so I painted it silver and then brushed it with Treasure Gold in Pewter - which is such a lovely tarnished silver colour.

I did the same for the little rose shaped beads too.

I had the perfect item to use for the heart...I had bought these silver heart shapes and so I stuck this on to the tag and added pearl beads.

I got some holly diecuts and covered them with glossy accents glue and sprinkled them with Pumice Stone glitter.

I painted a flourish die cut with silver paint

The 'Merry Christmas' was stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder onto a piece of card that had been covered in Frayed Burlap DI and edged with Walnut Stain DI.

I added a little spritz of silver glimmer spray to the sign too.

Ok...I admit it....I was in total SILVER mode here!!!

I made a music sheet with torn card that had been covered with Frayed Burlap DI and stamped with black archival ink. I rolled up the bottom of the music sheet.

Around the edges I used Aged Silver Frantage powder which is such a perfect match for the Pewter Treasure Gold used on the roses.

At the top of the tag, instead of a bow, I added a dolls house decoration. This was originally meant to go above a door but I decided to use it on the tag. I painted it silver and added a bit of the Pewter Treasure Gold to match the roses.

And there is the ninth Funkie Junkie tag! I hope you enjoyed seeing it - soon I will be able to put them all together and hang them all up.....I can't wait!!!

Why not come along and share in the fun of this challenge too?...all you have to do is make something inspired by each of the 12 tags and you could be in with a chance to win $50 to spend at the Funkie Junkie Boutique
