Growing Wings

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to the last Paperartsy Creation. As you all will know if you have seen my previous posts, I was asked by Darcy Wilkinson to make some samples with her new stamps she designed for Paperartsy. I was thrilled to do so and had so much fun - these stamps are amazing!!!

Here is the second creation made I made with this stamp set....

....and these are the Fresco Paint colours I worked with...

Quite a different creation to my last post!

This time I focused on the moth stamp...

I started with the background which was coloured with Distress inks. I used Wild Honey DI at the top and blended down through Spiced Marmalade DI and finished with Fired Brick DI.

Then I stamped the quote stamp with Tango Fresco Paint.

I painted the blue Fresco paints (Smurf, China and Baltic Blue) onto a piece of card, not blending the paint at all. Then I stamped the moth image onto it and cut around it. I then covered it with Clear embossing ink and powder to give an enameled effect.

I curled some black wire into antenna for the moth

I added some white details with white acrylic paint

I stamped the branches with white acrylic paint and then dabbed the end of a paintbrush into pools of all three blue paints (Smurf, China and Baltic Blue). Dabbing paint with the end of the paint brush rather than the brush end gives neater dots of paint.

Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick DI were blended together onto card and the quote was stamped with Jet Black Archival ink.,. This was mounted onto white card which was then mounted onto card that had been painted with China Fresco Paint.

And here is my finished creation....

And sadly it is time to say "That's all Folks!"....We have come to the end of my Paperartsy creations.
I will definitely be using these stamps sets again so you will see further creations featuring these gorgeous images.

Thanks so much for being here to watch the Paperartsy creations! I have had a wonderful time on a very creative journey!

And a huge thank you to Darcy.....xxxxxxxxxxxx

  1. Your designs using Darcy's fab new stamps are gorgeous. I loved them at the release and it's great to see more detail now! I must try to remember to use the wrong end of the paintbrush ;-)! I love all three new sets of Darcy's but 18 is top of my list.
