Let Love Grow

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to another Paperartsy Creation. As you all will know if you have seen my previous posts, I was asked by Darcy Wilkinson to make some samples with her new stamps she designed for Paperartsy. I was thrilled to do so and had so much fun - these stamps are amazing!!!

Here is the first creation made I made with this stamp set....

....and these are the Fresco Paint colours I worked with...

I had so much fun making this - I wanted the background to be very delicate and blended in so it was made with more ink than paint...

First of all the gorgeous red poppy style flowers....I wanted them to be poppies so I used Cherry Red Fresco Paint onto white card and then stamped the flower using Jet Black Archival ink. I used the circle with the cross-hatch pattern inside to add texture to the center of the flowers

I stamped some smaller flowers using the plain circle stamps - I stamped a loop of four circles.

I then stamped some circles that had a cross-hatch pattern inside. I used some of these as flower buds and some as the center of the half grown blooms.

To make the background I used Faded Jeans Distress ink leaving the center un-inked.
I then used the leaf stamp to add depth to the image by stamping with Tumbled Glass DI first of all further into the background and making the foreground darker by stamping the leaves with Faded Jeans DI.

I wanted clouds in the sky so I used all of the circles with white ink and sprinkled it with white embossing ink and heating.

The branches were then stamped onto the background using Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

I covered over the dots on the branches with Tango Fresco Paint blobs by dipping the end of a paint brush in the paint and dabbing the dots.

This gives a neater 'blob' than applying the paint with a brush.

When this was dry the flowers were stuck into the garden.

The quote was stamped with Jet Black Archival ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

And there is my finished creation!  - Hope you like it!

Why not take a closer look at these gorgeous stamp sets that Darcy has designed. All these new stamps are available to buy now from a PaperArtsy retailer listed here.

You won't regret adding any of them to your stamp collection!

I'll be back very soon with the next of my Paperartsy Creations....stay tuned!

Happy Crafting
