Framed Frantage

Hi everyone!

Over at Artistic Outpost there is another Anything Goes challenge!I am afraid my Artistic Outpost stamp collection is quite limited at the moment so I am very grateful that the challenge is open for anything!

I had just received my new Tim Holtz 'Doily' stencil and was desperate to try it out. So after applying some texture paste though the stencil and drying it I decided to be brave and spritzed some Dylusions sprays in Calypso Teal and Melted Chocolate.

Of course I decided to dab the ink after spraying - it is amazing how varied the effects can be - you really can achieve such bright vivid colours with them and yet also have to option of doing these wonderful delicate shades.

I brushed White Fire Treasure Gold over the edges of the embossing to highlight it.

I chose my favourite Artistic Outpost stamp of the little girl and stamped onto card with Potting Soil Archival ink. I then painted the image with Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap and Vintage Photo DS. I blended some Peacock Feathers DI around the edge of the image to match the inks used on the hanger.

I then dabbed the entire image with embossing ink and covered with a layer of UTEE. Before melting the UTEE I sprinkled on some Frantage Shabby Blue emboss enamel, which is a gorgeous mix of white and gold with some pale blue glitter. I then melted it - I LOVE watching the UTEE melt and the Frantage disperse into the melted UTEE forming these gorgeous drops of colour.

I then bent and snapped the UTEE before sticking the image behind the frame.

I used a die cut frame, covered in Old Gold Fresco paint and then dabbed with French Roast Fresco paint before being brushed with White Fire Treasure gold.

Some roses were dabbed with Walnut Stain DI then spritzed with water. The die cut leaves were covered with Walnut Stain DI.

The 'Wonder and think' quote was stamped in Potting Soil Archival ink

Hope you like it! Thanks so much for being here....
