Colours of Love

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to another Paperartsy Creation. As you all will know if you have seen my previous posts I was asked by Darcy Wilkinson to make some samples with her new stamps she designed for Paperartsy. I was thrilled to do so and had so much fun - these stamps are amazing!!!

Here is the set I used for todays creation...

.....these are the Fresco Paint colours I worked with...

...and this is what I made...

I loved the stamp set straight away...the flowers are GORGEOUS! I love that they are delicate and feminine but have a slight grungy industrial look to them too...Perfect for so many different creations and styles.

I started by stamping the flowers with Jet Black Archival ink onto card that had been painted with Tango, Smurf and Baltic blue Fresco paints. I had stamped over the Baltic blue painted card with Smurf and Cherry Red Fresco Paint using the quote stamp

I also stamped the center of the flowers onto the painted card and cut them out and attached them to the flowers.

The background was painted with diluted Smurf Fresco paint. Then I used the flower stamps with undiluted Smurf Fresco paint, dabbing them across the background. To add depth to this background I added some Baltic Blue Fresco paint to the Smurf paint to darken it slightly and then adding more stamping.

I painted a piece of card with Smurf Fresco Paint and then stamped the quote using Cornflower Blue Archival ink. I then sprinkled it with embossing powder and heated it until it melted. I dabbed the edge of the quote with Stormy Sky Distress ink before mounting it onto card that had been painted with Baltic Blue Fresco Paint.

The whole creation was then mounted onto card that had been painted with Baltic Blue Fresco Paint. I used an embossing pen to add black dots along the sides.

And there it is.....I hope you like the finished creation!

Why not take a closer look at these gorgeous stamp sets that Darcy has designed. All these new stamps are available to buy now from a PaperArtsy retailer listed here

You won't regret adding any of them to your stamp collection!

I'll be back very soon with the next of my Paperartsy Creations....stay tuned!

Happy Crafting
