Buttons and Bows

Hi everyone!

This is the first post in a 'Tree Trilogy'! This one is a Country Christmas theme...This is one of my favourite styles...

I twisted some card into a cone shape and glued it together.

I painted the cone with Frayed Burlap DP  and when dry I covered the cone with burlap material.

I decorated it with Coffee coloured crochet lace as a garland.

I tied bows with burgundy Gingham ribbon........

........and did the same with gold organza ribbon

Lots of buttons in festive colours were used as baubles

A grapevine heart and a twine bow were glued to the top of the tree.

I decorated a mini flowerpot with Aged Mahogany DP and silver marker pen was used to decorate it.

White Fimo was used to fill the pot and a clothes peg was pushed into the Fimo, the tree rests on top of the clothes peg.

Very simple decoration - strange to not be working with lots of inks and stamps....but it was a lot of fun!

Thanks so much for being here!
