Halloween

Hi everyone! Its Halloween time at Try it on Tuesday!

I decided to make a tag....with some porcelain effect roses - a bit of a feminine twist for Halloween...still Halloween colours but with a flowery decoration....

I got a tag and wiped Spiced Marmalade and Dusty Concord DS over it.I spritzed with water to make the colours blend and then dried with the heat gun. After it was dry I sprayed it with some Dylusions Melted Chocolate spray and a copper glimmer mist.

I stamped some script stamp over the tag and added some gold embossing powder

The porcelain roses were made with Tattered floral diecuts, dabbed with the Autumn DI's - Ripe Persimmon, Seedless Preserves and Gathered Twigs. Because these were smaller than the previous Porcelain Rose I had made with the melt pot, this time I just melted the UTEE and swirled the finished roses in, rather than cover each petal and then construct. I also had coloured some other die cut flowers and dipped them in the melted UTEE. When they had set I rubbed them over with a dab of Treasure Gold.

The Tim Holtz October Tag challenge is to use Glitter....I had recently bought some Antique Linen Glitter and I covered a die cut leaf with Glossy Accents glue and then covered it with the glitter...To add a bit shading I blended some Walnut Stain DI over one half of the leaf...

The Happy Halloween sign was made by tearing some card, covering with Spiced Marmalade DS and stamping with potting soil Archival ink. I then added some spider webs too...

Some metal leaves were wiped with White Fire Treasure Gold and I added some curly rusty wire as well. I also added a metal corner embellishment to the top of the tag after it had been covered in White Fire Treasure Gold

Come on over and enjoy the spooky fun at Try it on Tuesday....The sponsor this month is Smeared Ink images who are giving the prize winner £10 to spend at their store....You could be the winner and get to choose some gorgeous images!

       See you soon!
